Best place to buy Battery Grip?

Considering a battery grip for my XT. Anything I should be aware of with this accessory? Down sides?

They sent it next day delivery from Quebec to Ontario and I only had to pay GST.

I believe they do ship internationally as well.

I love my grip. There are no downsides that I know of besides the fact that it makes the camera bigger and heavier (if you consider those downsides).

Glad to hear that there aren't any quirks I have to worry about. The price there is fair good! Too bad there isn't a store like that here. (North Carolina) The closest we have is Wolf camera and the guy there tried to sell me the wrong grip.

Downsides ... none I can imagine. I think a grip can really enhance an XT. I use it 90% with my 300D just to get a firmer and more stable hold, let along the extra battery life. With the XT being smaller then I reckon it'd be essential with a bigger zoom. In Uk, ebay is usually the cheapest option and probably same where you are ... batteries on ebay are MUCH cheaper than anywhere else I found too!

PS ... if anyone is after a 300D grip then ebuyer were even cheaper than ebay @ around £70 incl VAT/P&P a few weeks ago.

I dont have a 350D... but I can barely use my 300 without it (my hand cramps because it curls under the camera without the grip on it). I can only imagine it'd add balance and extra battery life as it does on the 300 if you're comfortable with the 350d without it.

I bought a battery grip with my 20D and I love it. But yes, there is a downside. If you wish to use a flash bracket, you need to be mindful to get one with enoughflip space. I had to upgrade my Stroboframe, but it was worth it.

I got mine from PanWebI Electronics. (There a part of Soho Electronics, and that's how they answer the phone.) They were among the cheapest I had found online, via e-bay, and it got cheaper when I called direct and asked if I could get a discount by ordering over the phone vs. buying through e-bay. I've tried this method with about a 50% sucess rate when I find deals on e-bay from "real" suppliers.
