PP attempt...Plz C&C

I'm trying to find my way in this world of Post-Processing and made an attempt with the image below. This is a shot of my daughter just after she kicked a soccer ball. I was trying to make it something more than a typical color image. Not sure I succeeded at anything special though. I'd love to have some feedback on what is and isn't good about it.

It doesn't appear that this section gets much in the way of C&C so I'll give it a stab for you.

I'm not fond of the crop. I'd like to see more of her and have her less centred if possible.

It looks like it was shot when the sun was pretty high and bright. The front of her shirt looks blown out. Not sure if you added to it in PP or not but I'd bring it back down if you can.

The good thing is you have a cute kid that you can take a million pictures of!

There are two things that I think can be immediately improved on this photo in terms of processing. First, to my eyes at least, this photo seems to be oversharpened -- there seems to be a black line around the hand that probably resulted from being to vigorous. Second, there are some areas that are too hot that should be brought down a bit -- if you shot this in RAW, this shouldn't be too hard to do.

It might be nice to get the ball in the shot also to get a bit more of the 'story' ...

Very cute little girl though. :)
