Psycorpse, actually, I usually don't like to admit it, but I'm not really a person. I am, in fact, a singularity, and as such do not reflect light (technically light cannot escape my gravitational force, so it's not that I don't reflect it as much as it can't escape my pull).
Oh, FlyingPhotog, tell Mom that I scratched the car...actually it was sucked into nothingness (or perhaps a parallel universe)...and that I'll be home late for dinner.
(Hmmm...the more I look at the photo the more I see that my camera is front focusing...damn...time to send it into Canon...)

It was a black hole joke! Not an electricity joke...sheesh. I do find it shocking you didn't know that. I mean seriously, I was positive that you'd know that. I really don't mean to be negative BTW. I just can't help but tranform my thought and rectify (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectifier) the situation.
Well, I'm off to listen to some ACDC...

Simple curve adjustment, then duplicate the layer, set it to "Screen", did some dodging and burning (more burning than dodging I think). I then applied a layer mask and de-sharpened (not to be confused with unsharpened) the background so I'd really "pop". Finally I saved it in 8-bit and sRGB color space and added my sometimes too intrusive copyright. Really quite simple...

So no B conversion?
(Not be confused with a B&W conversion...)

I was gonna say something about the copyright, but I understand the necessity of it. You just can't trust people these days...

HeyCow - since you have image editing tuned on, I hope you don't mind if I make a couple of tweaks. Lightened it a little bit, adjusted the levels, and cloned out that black spot in the upper left.

I appreciate the effort, but you really have my skin tone quite wrong. Plus when you lighten it like this it makes me look fat. :(
(BTW, I *know* I need to clean my sensor, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.)
