This was a shot that I just couldn't do much else with. This is one of the guard towers at Alcatraz, taken in late evening light. I hope it works.

Thanks for the comments. The color version looks pretty drab, and I've been having some kind of problem posting my color shots. I'm not sure if it's a monitor calibration problem, or something wrong with the way I'm resizing in PS CS. I'm still trying to work that out, but I'll attempt a color version soon.

I like both the b&w, and the colour. I would burn the colour version with that beautiful gold in the sky, and also again with the sky's blue.

Yes, the original was really drab straight out of the camera. Using PS CS, I adjusted the levels, color, and curves to bring out the sky. Thanks for the comments.

I like both the way they too, but I bet it would look good if you dropped that color sky on the BnW silhouette.
