the bee photo is AWESOME! Great detail despite the blurred wings.

I like the second two shots much better than the first two. The bee is nice and sharp and I also like the blue sky background on the one above it. The first two show how it can be tough to shoot macro shots on a sunny day. You end up with distracting highlights in the background. For shots like that if it is sunny out a diffuser will really help to even out the light and make the background fade away. You can even use a thin white trash bag if you dont have a fancy diffuser. It's tough to hand hold the bag while you meter with the camera, so you might want to prop up teh bag with two sticks or hiking poles. The added benefit ofthe bag/diffuser is the reduction in wind.

Great Idea VFTT!!! Now that is too simple, but I'm putting this into action immediately.

Skip, thanks!

I like the shot of the bee. He appears to take his job seriously.

I'll second the Bee shot - and excellent pre-planning to get an appropriate shutter speed to show a little movement. Nice one.

First two are soft. The second two are beautiful.

Thanks! The first were done with a real shallow DOF. First time I had the lens out so was putting it thru the paces. Original size on the first 2 are much better viewed at full resolution, but alas they are what they are. Shot with extremely shallow DOF. pardeep1, I must say that I have viewed your gallery and love your work!

Thanks for the comments guys. I am loving macro photography.
