I was asked today (not on here, somewhere else) how I got into wedding photography from nature and then got all nostalgic for my wedding pictures. Basically, my husband and I started planning our wedding in July '07 and in October our industry was shut down due to a strike. We had to take our entire wedding budget and put that towards living expenses, which left only about $3,000. Obviously, couldn't find a photographer for that, so we just brought our XTi and 28-105 with us and it was passed around along with a couple of P&S between the guests, the wedding party, myself, and my husband. So, yeah, we did our own wedding photographer.

These are EXTREMELY edited. We just put the XTi on automatic so it would be easier for everyone and more likely that we'd get usable pictures. I'm still editing and this was almost a year ago, but I do have about 300 usable, nice pictures! These are some of my favorites. Btw, I do NOT recommend that you DIY your own wedding photography!

First off beautiful bride. Yes I am trying to make points.

The sunset shot would be great with flash.

Haha, no, but I think I'm slightly allergic to the stuff they make contacts out of because my eyes are always blood shot when I wear them, even though I've been wearing them for over 10 years! I need Lasik! People always asked if I'm stoned when I wear them, so now I only wear my glasses at work. Don't want any brides and groom to think I showed up stoned!

I have the rest on my The Knot bio here: http://jebuellwedding.angelfire.com/wedding.html

Well, not the rest as I'm still editing (yeah, my wedding was April 26th, 2008, I'm slooooow!). Some are good, some are not. Actually, I picked the best ones, so the rest kind of go downhill from there. But we tried and I am very pleased with the results and everyone seems to like them. I'm just being picky especially now that I do this for a living I look at the beach portraits and think "Sky blown out! Sky blown out!" and all of the gazebo shots were extremely dark, so I had to pull a lot of light in, which of course made them look horrible so I made up for it by giving them an aged look. Haha! Thanks TRA for making it look "style-ized!".

Btw, our wedding lasted, like, 3 months. So there's a lot of stuff there!
