Love it, awesome .... am thinking of doing this with some of my Aussie landscapes.
There are a number of black / white conversion plug ins out there, but I think experimenting with layers and curves and selective colours would work well too.
But yes, B/W landscapes are awesome and these ones are fantastic.
Excellent composition and 'impact'

The sky is neat, never seen a sky like that. Nice photo and I agree about the B&W concept.

I like the B&W. It adds a different feel amidst all the color photos we see. Nice work.

Stunning photo in B&W. Amazing clouds. I generally prefer my landscapes in color but this really works well. I'll have to rethink my preferences. Again.
And your gallery is full of them. Nice work.

I usually don't like black and white land scape pictures, but this is one that has caught my eye. A little simplistic, but there's just something about it that makes me want to look at it over and over again. Nice work, well done.

Thanks all for looking and your kind comments, I use channel mixer in PS, curves to control contrast, dodge and burn tools, contrast sharpenning with unsharpmask etc,to achieve what i have in mind and what i want the finished result to look like, I love Monochrome so anybody who is realy interested in doing it go to my other site below, join it, then i can give you detailed info on my way of doing it through email or even MSN messenger i want to help keep it alive and kicking in this digital ere as i think its still the more powerful medium for some photos, think of this, would Ansel Adams and the other greats have used colour given the choice, i dont think so
