Well, any tips??? There was a nice thunderstorm tonight while I was at work and it got me thinking, how to take good/decent lightning shots? I know it'll probably take a quick trigger finger and some patience but what about camera settings? If it helps I'm using a A85...

Have a look at this thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=29571), and try a google search too. I read an article a while back, from memory the guy kept the shutter open until he got a good lightening strike or two, which might be difficult with an A85.

Thanks, yeh the shutter isn't very long on the A85, however if I can get another storm like last nights, it'll only have to be open for 5 seconds, last night was crazy.
