It reminds me of a place where it's not. I won't get into it! lol........ *million thoughts going through head that are totally unrelevant to your photograph*

Anyway, I think the overal shot is lacking interest. It looks like there's some fog or something, and I think a more clear "subject" would of really helped this picture.

But all that matters if if YOU like it or not! :)

I did notice that your watermark created a strange line in the water just to the left of it? Almost looks like a smudge. Also, I don't like the cars by the trees. Anymore from this series?

I like the shot, but think that it needs a bit of work. The fence leads the eye towards the edge of the frame and the expanse of nothing on the right does nothing for me. Try cropping most of the right side (including the out of focus post).

I dig the trees in the top of the shot.

Good points above. It does have a certain drabness to the background, which is interesting given the posts and foreground look quite saturated. Not a charming drabness either, but one I'd hit with a bit of local contrast enhancement if I were you. You've also got two birds too close to - perhaps even obscured by - the second post... not a good look.

Cheers, Tony

I have been in almost that exact same loc. :) Nice shot mate. Its a little boring, as there is nothing really too, well, spectacular in the shot. However, I think you did a PERFECT job framing the composition and you definitely made the shot more interesting since it is not your fault that the environment is a bit dreary and typical looking.

Again, nice shot: Boring but quite beautiful actually. ;-)

Very nice shot, but to me the right side of the picture falls short and almost feels like it's cutting of my vision of the shot, I feel like me eyes are being pushed directly into the trees and fence on the left like i'm being fenced into the far left corner. Otherwise beautiful

I agree with the others that the framing is good. I have a couple of nitpicks with the image. Vignetting is rather pronounced and very noticeable in the right upper and right lower corner. This darkening of the image at the corners is very common at wide open apertures and at the wider end of zooms. It can usually be reduced by using a higher f/stop. There is significant chromatic aberration or purple fringing surrounding the tree branches that overlie bright sky. Chromatic aberration occurs at high contrast boundaries and is a function of the quality of the lens. Again using a higher f/stop often significantly decreases chromatic aberration. The foreground is out of focus. This can also be improved with a higher f/stop.

The exif data shows that you took this picture at f/4. Stopping down to f/8 to f/11 likely would have given a more pleasing picture. Using a lower f/stop would likely require the use of a tripod.

Nice composition.

A few things that I noticed...

1. The OOF pillar is a bit distracting (pulls my eye to it)
2. Sky / water separation - perhaps go back on a dif day......there is not enough fog to make it pop, so in this case I would of prefered to see more separation (color) between water / sky
