Is the wireless remote shutter release offered through the POTN Support Shop (RS 80N3) compatible with the 5D Mark II body? I see the 5D listed, but not the 5D2.

Yes, the RS-80N3 is the specified remote for the 5D2 (the same as the 5D), so the one in the POTN store will work. I wish I saw this before I bought my Canon version because I paid $50 for it.
