This was asked by someone else recently but never answered. What flash bracket do you 1D users recommend? I've been asked to do a family member's wedding next month and I think a flash bracket would come in handy.

Check out Gary Fong's Lumispehere II as well.

I own the Pro RL and it will accomodate your camera. I've purchased it recently and testing it with either the 10D/20D - with grips. Accomodates either camera nicely.

The RL has a "quick flip" capability allowing camera to be re-oriented to portrait. I haven't placed a QR on the unit for camera connection and just use the provided cork pad for the camera mount. It also comes with a "kick stand" that allows for the bracket to remain "standing" if placed on a table or floor (with camera connected). I cannot guarantee the "kick stand" will accomodate all lenses. It does accomodate the 24-70L.

The RL comes "pre-molded" to accomodate a Stroboframe QR. I'm a Velbon QR guy so I don't use this feature. Utilizing another QR device impacts the RL from standing solo (leans when I use the Velbon QR).

Although the LSII is supposed to eliminate the need for a bracket, I believe the LSII is better described as filling in the role when no bracket is available.

Stroboframe Pro RL

Great bracket and use on both the 1D MKII and the 20D without twistplates. The cork holds it securely. Love it. Heavy damn thing with everything on it though. Light weight training is in order!

I'm considering the Pro-RL for tripod work, and the Pro-T for hand held work. That's what B&H recommended to me. I'm not sure if the Pro-T fits on a tripod/monopod, but if it does it's worth a look, because it's a lot lighter than the Pro-RL. Does anyone know if the Pro-T fits on a tripod/monopod?

Have a look at this site (http://www.tiffen.com/Header_page_Stroboframe.htm) for a picture and comments.
