I spot the website from lifehacker.com a while ago (few months, spent more than a hour backtracking today but no luck), I bookmarked it and to cut the story short some fatal accident and I lost all of my bookmarks.

The site allowed you a birdeye view of a studio, where you can drag and drop flash/props/bounce cards/backdrops/etc diagrams, basically imagine if you're to doodle out ideas to set up a studio this web based tool can do it for you with neat diagrams and you can specify distance between each tools and finally print them out or save as an image, very neat stuff.

Does anyone here know what the site may be? Much appreciated if you do!

I think you're referring to a Photoshop PSD file with a bunch of layers already defined with the various shapes to illustrate a lighting layout. http://www.kevinkertz.com/fm/LightingSetup.psd.zip
