The Redbud trees are in bloom here in the northern part of Arkansas, U.S.A. and they are beautiful. The first pic, I used a filter of course, to blur the background. I thought the road to the right in blur added to the pic. I know the background on the second pic is EXTREMELY busy with all the vines and such, but the wild Redbuds have a way of growing under the canopy of other trees and such. The only ones that don't are the ones in someone's yard and while they are pretty, I prefer the ones growing wild. I'm anxiously awaiting the blooming of the Dogwoods!!!

No offense, but neither of these pictures impress me. With a macro lense and some better lighting I think you could get some great shots of those flowers though. They're pretty.

I like the photos. Redbuds are at their best when they are subtle. They are not particulary "showy" and you captured the early spring mood well.

Whose smart idea was it to name them REDbuds?

No offense taken. As they say..."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". The real beauty of the Redbud is the color they add to the landscape early in spring as they bloom in profusion across the countryside.
