She was very happy to be in front of the camera, Davis... not so much. I have some others that I liked and can post upon request, however i felt like this was a decent sampling. These were all taken with the XSI and 70-250 mm IS lens, because that was what was attached and I left my lens bag in my other car....

I agree that a flash would've been helpful in #2, or even just some repositioning of you or the couple. You want to watch out for shadows, as they can hurt an otherwise nice shot.
The positioning of the girl in #1 is a bit odd for me, but I think the coloring here looks nice. It looks like her head is floating awkwardly-this could have to do with the striped shirt, but something to pay attention to.
One suggestion I have is to try taking the photos from different positions and angles. These all seem to be taken from head on, standing in the same place. I do like the "cool effect" shot and the candid. They're a great looking couple! Nice job for your second e shoot!

nice session.
I would add to remember your back ground. In several images, the background is fighting for attention form the viewers eye.
Crop out the pole on #2 (right side).
The other thought that comes to mind is when to decide when to use the background /surrounding in the photo and when to blur them.
Agree w/ using different angles.
Thanks for sharing.

1. Might want to squat down a little bit for a diff perspective, a little awkward crop for me, great exposure, more contrast maybe?
2. the boat is a little bit distracting, maybe a higher focal length? reposition of subject to the left to cover big boat? use of a diffuser?
3. winner.
4? plant is a little bit distracting, reposition subject away from background unless this is the look that you are really going for.
5. Im not feeling the composition, possibly go wider on this one
Just my opinion.

Thanks for the tips,
I just realized all the pics i posted were all the same "look & angle" I should have posted some others. On the boat shot do you guys think there should be more blur? I'll make sure next time i post more positions ( i did actually take pictures with other poses, but this one seemed to be the one i could get the most emotion with & the couple was happiest with. With the plant, is he consensus that i should have had more separation to create background blur? thanks again everyone and feel free to add more.
