Sorry, but to me it is quite boring. Maybe if there where some bustling people or an actual train moving past...

i disagree. i like how the picture is very quiet and shows the people waiting to go to work (i think) kind of like the calm before the storm. i'd suggest cropping the top part off to the top of the main st sign and maybe showing it in color. it looks like a gloomy rainy day, and it could be very interesting to see it in color.

I like the picture but as stated above let's see it in color. I don't think you should crop the sign, I think it brings something to the view.

I like the picture too. It reminds me of how the rains sounds and smells in this setting. The sign also looks fine to me. Color could be interesting.

Sorry, but to me it is quite boring. Maybe if there where some bustling people or an actual train moving past... I agree, the action is too far away and all I am left to look at is a trash can. It makes me feel lonely. Sorry but just giving you an honest critque from where I am sitting.

I do like the sign though. That part of it is good.

I would agree with the other two with the boring statement, but it is not as boring as they make it to be.

The sign is part of what makes this photograph; it adds to sculpting what you are trying to depict. However, I will agree there needs to be a couple of people closer in the photograph (maybe like a couple of people passing by, but do not overbusy it. Not only that, you could make it into a more emotive photograph with someone leaning against the trash can to really show off loneliness (and really touch the heart of the people looking at the photograph). With the people in the background and that one person leaning against the trash can, along with the gloom of the day, will really enhance it.

Now, I know you couldn't possibly help this but the clouds make that part of the photo a flat. Then you have the sign that sticks out; the right edge of the sign doesn't look natural against the clouds.

You have a very nice concept there, but something needs to be added. Of course, it's your choice. My comments are here for you to use or help promote new ideas.

I really like the scene and setting. One thing that I think would make for a more interesting photo is slowing down your shutter speed to get a bit of blurr on the objects in motion. e.g. people walking, perhaps a train, etc.

This would bring action to a stoic scene. I like it in B&W though!!!

Thanks for sharing!!!

It's too dark IMO.

That's what it reminds me of, that movie "The Crow" it sort of has that Crow/Sin City look to it. If it is meant to look like that, then it's really good for a dark gothic superhero look.
