I have a frind that wants to sell me a canon ef 100-200 but I can not find any technical iformation on the web. Is this a good lens? has any one seen it?

It is a very slow focusing lens, make sure you get it cheap.

EDIT: I noticed that there are several of the images taken with an Olympus. I'm not sure how that was done.

Note that it has no manual focus capability at all.
If your camera can't focus then you take no pics.You can't even prefocus then switch the focus off!

Pay an extra $100 and get a second hand 100-300mm USM lens. You won't regret it.

My aunt bought this lens brand new in England in 1989 and used it on her film EOS for a few years and then gave it to me and I have used it on 2 film EOSs and 3 DSLRs. Its a great lens if you learn the limitations of it (lack of manual and pull out zoom). Its loud and slow but takes amazing shots. Its like driving a classic car from the 60s, has its own fun element. I tell most newbies that this lens was made before you were born :)
