Well it looks lousey this size, yet it is fine bigger whats the secret to posting pics that look sharp ?

Glad you said it. I just resize a copy of my image in PS to 800x something first and then save it as a jpg at a quality level that gives me the required file size. I don't think I've had any serious problems. Your image does seem a bit coarse. If that doesn't work here is a place for some good tutorials, etc on images and post processing.
