My favorite building in town is also the newest. I watched it go up over two years and it is a neo-gothic masterpeice. It just screams Gotham... Completely out of place in the art-deco Charlotte down town, but for some reason it just fires me up. Took a couple of shots today, but there is noplace I can find where I can get a decent shot of the entire building. Maybe a helicopter ride.....

[EDIT] I don't want anyone to think I was trying to pass this off as a raw photo.. I blurred the background to bring the church to the front, experimenting with photoshop.

The blur is totally photoshopped. The building and picture are real. Just experimenting with effects. Here is the original before cropping/photoshopping:

that blur edit, makes it appears as a photo of a model city with only the church in focus... crazy work!

I agree. The first photo looks like a shot of a model town. Looks like you increased saturation and sharpened.
I kinda like it.

They are building a new Hearst Tower here in NYC also. It is going up on 8th Ave and 56th Street. It will be their shiny new headquarters. I like your shot. I will have to take some pics of the one here.
