I decided to upgrade a few months ago and replaced my 20" CRT Apple monitor with a 24" Dell monitor (E248WFP).
Ever since then I can't get the colors to display right on this new Dell monitor. I have made several attempts calling the tech support. And have been chatting with the guys in India and it has been a total waste time. Without buying a spider to calibrate does anyone have a good suggestion for me? My colors are either too hot or too dark right now. PhotoShop is suing sRGB profile to display the photos therefore I see different colors in PhotoShop then in other application such as the browsers.

Looking for your input

A hardware/software combination is really the only way to assure that your colors are accurate. But you can check out this thread for some other methods:

Further: You will always see an image different in a color managed application vs. a non color managed one. No way around that.

Have a read in the link from my sig.
