hey all, i downloaded a version of the new hack of the undutchables and it completely messed up my camera. the camera does not communicate at all with the flash. every time i use the flash it over exposes it to the brightest light on my 420 EX. also, the shutter speed is incredibly slow. if anyone knows of where i can get the older version of the hack i would grealy appreicitated. all i want is the focus on the back left button. PLEASE HELP ME!! I AM DIRE NEED OF A WORKING CAMERA AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Download the original firmware from Canon and apply that the same way you did the undutchables. Make sure you reset any custom functions before you put the original firmware back on.

Did you read the PDf that comes with the download to see if there are any incompatibilities/issues?
I have this firmware and works fine so far, though don't use external flash ... at least yet! Let us know if the issue is fixable.

Will either hack move the focus to a button on the back for a 300D? Does that work in all modes?

Your the first person I've seen who had a problem. I wonder if they just recently tweaked it or if there was something unexpected with your setup?
I'd just drop back to the original Canon firmware. You also may want to try the Wasia version. It worked fine for me too.
