Caught this man crappie fishing in early morning on Reelfoot Lake in NW Tennessee. Reelfoot, formed by the great earthquake of 1811, is slowly silting in but remains a fisherman's paradise. To me, silhouettes appeal to the senses by creating a story with minimal information. Canon 20D, 1/1000 sec @f/2.8, 70mm, ISO 100 on a tripod.

Great B&W. Love the scene. Nice work! My Dad and I used to go Smallmouth fishing in Tennessee when I was a kid. You just gave me a nice memory. Thanks.

Forgot to say how much I like the shot too. Feels like a nicely crisp morning, when you're glad you got up early to use more of the day. Nicely done

Great shot, the tree frames the picture very nicely. I would like to see the image in color though, if you have it.

As a matter of fact I do have it in color, but the early morning hours make the colors very subtle.

B&W all the way. That's a framer. Beautiful lake. Fished there about 12 years ago. Need to get back to Tenn. Beautiful state.

Wow! Like the B & W best, but the color photo works, too!
