Please welcome my new son Alexander. He was born on April 2nd. I finally had a chance to go through the photographs and display my favorites. No exif this time. Please enjoy. Comments & critics always welcome.

Nothing here to criticize. Destined to be a heartbreaker.

Congratulations! Precious. Now, doesn't he need a new 20D? Or at least a 580EX?

Congratulations!
Interesting expressions even at this very early age: seem to say, "Holy Moly, what's that thing growing out of Dad's face?? Oh, a camera. Well, maybe he won't be making a habit of it..." LOL

Thanks Titus213. Actually, he asked for the 550ex and a 2GB compact flash card. He also asked for a Playstation and a motorcycle.

Thank-you vinnyveez. Believe it or not, this was the first time I shot all RAW. I downloaded Digital Photo Pro 1.6.1 from the Canon website last week and was 'developing' whenever I had the time. RAW really does give you awesome power (white balance, exposure control), but requires a lot of time and work.

Thanks Ayotnoms. My wife says the same thing. (I think she suspects I'm having an affair with my camera, and an online affair with POTN).

Thanks Laurenn. Since these were in the hospital room, I used the 50mm f1.8 due to poor lighting. I opened the aperature as much as possible but kept the shutter speed to 1/100 or faster to reduce the chance of camera shake. This resulted in most shot in the range of f1.8-2.2. I really had to watch my focus point(s). The EF 50mm f1.8 II is by far the favorite if my modest collection.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. As mentioned in my other related post ("Brothers"), it's a pleasure to share with all of you on POTN. I enjoy this forum as much for it's content as for the people who participate. Cheers to all of you!!
