Has anyone got one, and if so, what do you think of them.

I've seen a couple floating about on eBay from HK sellers at 1/3rd of the price of the genuine article (which I must say is rather expensive).

I bought the Phottix BP-40D Grip w/ 2 batteries on eBay for ~$80. Got it the other week and love it! :D

There is a comparison review around here somewhere..

No complaints here with the Phottix, really good quality. Dont see any reason to spend all that extra money on the genuine article if im honest.

Hasn't there been like 3 threads in the past 2 days about this?

Anyways 3rd party grips = awesome.

I have the Targus grip for my 30D and I don't have a single problem with it.

Cool thanks all :)

I'll risk a third-party one and get a Colorvision Spyder with the saved money :)

I also bought the Phottix. No real complaints other that when I take a snap.. I can hear/feel the shutter vibrating off of the plastic and it can get to you if your picky like me. I don't remember having this issue with my rebel xti and gen. canon grip. I'm probably going to by the Canon grip for my 5D just to rest assure my complaining and wining :)
