A couple of steam trains from the southern hemisphere...firstly the Kingston Flyer, from the South Island of New Zealand (EOS300D + Kit lens) and the 3801 from New South Wales, Australia. (EOS300D + 75-300 II)

Thanks Mills.
Thats probably the first time..that i remember anyway...that I have seen that much steam, generally it is too warm here for much condensation to take place..but since this was early in the morning it hadn't warmed up much :-)

All trains are good . . . one could not take a bad photograph of a train. But these are very good . . . btw.

3801 is the Newcastle Flyer. The 38 class sure shakes the ground a bit. It was restored as a trade training scheme by the taxpayers I think... worth it. Annual Steamfast is on right now, 3801 was supposed to race the Tiger Moth to maitland again but there was a stand-in because 3801 was delayed somewhere. People pay big dollars to be in the carriages all weekend and get all sooted up. I ridden it a few times and been 'flatchat' on that train. It has its own website somewhere.
