In an attempt to limit my lens swapping and try to focus more on my work than on which lens I should use (...and reduce my carrying weight), I'm leaving my longest lenses home for this job. I'll be doing posed and candid shots in both tight spaces and medium distances, but there is no ceremony or really distant subjects at any point in time for this job. Cashman photo has the monopoly on all the resort casino chapels so I'll be meeting them right outside, taking some shots around the resorts, then going to the reception.

Before I do this (first time I've ever left lenses at home), can anyone think of a situation where, when covering reception with about 20 people in approx. 40' x 20' space, or shooting with the couple around a resort/casino, I would actually need the longer lenses?

I'll be using my sigma ultra-wide, a standard zoom and the 85L.

Hmm, well got about 10 minutes before I'm off to the job, so I guess I'll just leave the stuff at home.

I like getting close-ups of people's faces sometimes cause it isolates their emotion. Then again, the 85 with some cropping could easily do the trick.

It worked fine tonight; sometimes I used the 85L on the 40D and it brought them closer.
