A few pics from Stage 5 in Harwood Forest - forgot the Factor 15 again, what a brilliant day, but a trifle dusty

1 Did I tell you the story about Little Red Riding Hood who went into the forest?

2 Tanking it downhill

3 We'll move these stones onto the verge as they may damage the paintwork

4 Out of the Frying Pan

5 Into the Fire

6 The map says "turn right"

7 Try and get back on the road!

Definitely your best set by a long way. :D

1,2 7 and 8 are very nice with 1 edging it as best of the bunch with the shot of Paul Bird's Focus in a close 2nd. I'd have been tempted to shoot #6 a bit tighter, but that's just me..

EXIF says 40D...do i smell a bit of 70-200 usage too ?

Thanks for the comments Geoff.

Ok, KevB's 40D and Kippers 70-200, but I took the shots. I was sitting on a nice pile of logs on a downward bend, which caught a few of the drivers out.
I am always being criticised for cropping in too much, so I thought I would just post them "as shot".

Nice work. Think you've got the clan bragging rites for this rally. We might have to start charging for equipment hire if you carry on like this!;) The shots look nicely framed, sharp and colours good too.

I already pay the equipment charges in kind, your mam supplies the sarnies, etc.
Getting out of practice with my 400D, will have to read the book on how to turn it on.

That particular bend caught a few out. The back ends of some slid away (see pics 3 and 8 ) and they accelerated straight across to the ditch on the opposite side of that corner, which is what I was trying to depict in the two Bogie photos.
The Escorts coped very well with that bend;)

Many thanks for your comments Ian. Fortunately, I was in such a position that I didn't get covered in dust every time a car went past but I have a few pics which were spoilt by the dust. Beggars can't be chooser and I was glad of the nice sunny weather this year, rather than the layer of snow that I was wearing at last years event;)
