This is Dave Gilmour's (Pink Floyd) old house that's still a recording studio. I spent less than an hour filming so it's a bit iffy though I used a tripod upside down to act as a makeshift stedicam:

Interesting perspective! Kind of like looking through the eyes of a kid, dog, or troll.

It's designed to be from the pet dogs perspective :)

Interesting effect, 16mm low down. I wished it were possible to get a good LCD monitor to use when not being held to the eye height.

broken link for the video...

it's an h.264 clip? you need to have it play back in a flash container, don't embed it as .mp4, because not everyone will have a video player that works as an embed, with that format.

It's an MP4. I added a link on that page to a flash version but to save time: http://www.recordproduction.com/hook_end_studios_video9.html

Nooooo. Not at all. I was wondering if you were using some sort of steadycam rig with the camera underslung to get that low of a shot. I like it.

I didn't have much time so decided that the best trick would be to use the Manfrotto tripod as a steady device. One of the three legs extended (bit I held on to) and the other two counterbalancing the camera on the inverted mount.

I can see why people get steady cams as this was far better than just hand held and a proper system would be far better, I'd expect. :)
