How to use a Pelican ??

I know... it's funnybw!, but I've never had the need to fly with the pelican and don't know how to use it.

It's a 1520 with older style knob purge valve. How do you use it ?

Keep it airtight for flight or open ?

well that's why the came with an automatic purge system... to simplfy things

so do I airtight or not for flight

If you do it airtight for flight it will puff up a tiny bit, but not enough to cause any damage or harm.

If it is a smaller flight with the cargo in an unpressurized compartment it would be better to not be completely sealed.
