What is big difference between the USA and Import versions of a Canon 20D besides the fact it doesn't have a USA warranty? Is the camera made in the same place, same features.etc?...... I see them advertised at 3 different places from $735 - 749 (body only and the dealers say it's the same camera just doesn't have a USA warranty) but for that price isn't it worth the risk it won't break? Plus, I can get an extended 3 year warranty(international) through Mack for $65 and can send it to NY instead of overseas for repair anyways. Has anyone gone this route, and if so, what was your experience?

Check out those advertisers at Reseller Ratings (http://www.resellerratings.com/). Chances are they're bait-and-switch artists who will try to sell you the charger, battery, and/or software (which should come in the box) for a further $500-$600, and then the camera will mysteriously be "out of stock".

All Canon cameras are made in Japan and thus imported if sold in the US.
The difference is only in the warranty.

On some Canon items, the instruction manuals are different in language. One version is the English-only, and one version has about five languages crammed between two covers.
