I'll be in Vegas for 4 days starting tomorrow. I'd really like to get shots of each of these locations:
Red Rock Canyon
Valley Of Fire
Hoover Dam (not the whole tour thing)
Ghost town of Nelson.Given travel time and times of day, I could really use advice from anyone whose been there on how best to fit it all in. We're arriving in the afternoon on Monday after a 5 hour flight, and will only have the evening to spare, so I thought I would knock out Red Rock Canyon that evening for the Sunset hours since it is closer by.
Tuesday - We have all day free so I can shoot at both Sunrise and Sunset.
Wednesday - I only have up till about 4:00pm (need to rest and then do dinner and a show)
Thursday - Same as Wednesday
So, I guess the question is, how would you schedule Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam, and Nelson, over those 3 days, taking into consideration travel time and photography time. Also, is Valley of Fire better to shoot around Sunrise or Sunset or will I be happy either way?
I plan to use the later evening hours for all the Night Life shots on the strip. Too much to do, too little time... Thanks for the help.
(Sorry, I posted this elsewhere but realized it probably belongs in this section)
