Just my thoughts and opinion.
I purchased a A520 thinking it would be nice to have small camera in the auto all the time. My normal cam is a 20D. I read the DPreview and was impressed. I exspected a faster P&S shutter, less noise, pictures printable out of the cam and easier use. I got none of those. Forget the diff in resolution, The 20D is much easier to use in any mode! What supprised me was that the A520 4mpx pictures were worse than my old Nikon 885 3.2 mpx. :? Noise was very evident in all ISO's. There was to be no Croping at all or the noise destroyed the pic. :( Ok I tried and will try again maybe next year. By the way I comp[ared it to the 20D set at close to 4mpx and there was no comparison in pic quality. I took over 200 pics and had only one I considered a keeper. ( Maybe my 20 is spoiling me :) )The A520 in in route back to B&H.
