I'm looking for one of these and found a large variety on ebay. Some of th packages say "Both sides coated" some are "Multicoated"....

The 'both sides coated' is a pitch for digital, as there is discussion that light can reflect off of the sensor and then back through the lens as flare after reflectiing again off of the inside surface of the filter. I guess that is a possibility.
Other filters 'may' be coated on both sides, but Hoya is advertising as such.
The best recommendation I can give - don't put a cheap filter in front of a good lens. Hoya is usually considered one of the better brands.

I am amazed at their product. On the first two shots you can't see the woman's hat on the before pic, and then in the after, you see her hat. Man those filters must really improve resolution by UV reduction. Think I'm going to go bid right now! LOL
