Shot with 135L, obviously the focus wasn't quite exactly on but the whole glow and mood seems to be as good or better than any of the in-focus shots. Even out of focus I think this is one of my best shots ever.

Just goes to prove that tack sharp doesn't always tell a story.
Great work mate!

I love this shot - even the flare adds to the mood. Looks like her right shoulder would have been bang on focus :p
I think it could really work with contrasty BW too...

I totally agree! Great shot and anyone would be very happy to have made a shot like this. Nice job in capturing the mood of the moment!!

Sorry about your unfortunate luck, but that is a great looking shot. I just wish my screwups all turned out that good.
So, if I want that lens, should I look for one that has a front focussing issue? :D

Thanks! I know a few reasons why it's good. First, her face has hard lines and the blur dissolves them. Second, one light is softly hitting her forehead, nose and upper cheekbones, which is usually a good light. Third, another light is grazing her back and his tux. Fourth, her eyes are down, his eyes are down, and both are smiling.
All of it was lucky timing. I wish I knew what else, if anything, made it a good shot.

I like it as well. A nice shot that I usually have to work at to get.
