Great shot of the mustangs...Did you by any chance get to the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in 2007? It was a great show.

Like the third shot most.

Where'd the number go on the second shot? Painted out? I'm assuming it was supposed to be 5 since it says "Lead Solo" up there by the cockpit.

If you think that angle is weird, you should have seen my spine while trying to shoot it (straight up...ouch!) ;)

They were playing musical vipers... They flew the tandem 7 in the 4 slot, that "5" was missing a number but they had a number 5. I, I, I dunno... :confused:

Someone mentioned that they were flying new Block 52s so maybe they haven't totally settled on which birds will be in which position yet.

They are just decals. Notice the inlet cover says #8. Sometimes they peel off in flight. It does allow maintenance to tail swap...the show must go on.

The 300 + 1.4 is sharper.

I hadn't used the 100-400 in a while and I'd forgotten how much light fall off there is around the edges at 400mm .. ugh!
