My first wedding is coming up in July (plenty of time to prepare). I have the book "Understanding Exposure", and for general photography it is great.
Can you guys recommend some good books on wedding photography? I also want to volunteer with a photographer to be a second just to learn the ropes. I suspect that some skills are involved in doing a good job with this.

Sorry, I just realized that this forum is only for photo sharing. I found the proper forum, and will repost there.

Have not see any really good books on wedding photography. I find photography books to be rather stupid. Authors often just use them as a way to show off their portfolios, and the actual content part usually lacks. They glaze over topics at such a high level that it's hard to get anything practical out of it. (They just tell you WHAT to do rather than HOW to go about doing it) I find Tim's wedding faq to be much more useful than any wedding photo book I've ever read. The only thing I found those wedding books useful for is to look at some inspirational photos... but you can find zillions on those online too.
