View Full Version : WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: PART 157 -- Intricate

BLS
23rd of March 2009 (Mon), 08:14
Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Intricate. Be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme -- the sky's the limit!

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=194511 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=194511)

An index to previous weeks can be found here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=170603 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=170603)

That's it! Have fun!

Hint: You are using something identical to it right now to store your pictures, email, documents, etc....

Here are my contributions. These are photos of a little figurine of Boon Island Light off of the coast of York, Maine. The island has a gruesome history. The photos were taken today, March 25, 2009 using my G9. Enjoy!

Indeed it is. Funny thing is that I had visited York many times over the years and only last year noticed the offshore lighthouse. I found it fascinating.

Thank you! :)

Very Nice Dave.. What ethnic group is this from? Do you know. What is the story behind it?

My wife is from Thailand and she picked up these small replica's of traditional Thai masks to put in the curio I got her. I'm sure they have a purpose in a traditional ceremony but I am not sure which one.

It's time again to think about our next theme.

Some ideas:
1. Feet
2. House
3. Brushes
4. Fancy

Do you have other ideas to share?

Which topic would you prefer?

FEET!!!

BLS

Soooooo ... Where do we stand with the new theme?

We had four voters.
Our resident mathematician and our Texan both feel comfortable with any of the four suggestions, while our birthday gal and tree dweller both prefer Feet.

Sooooo ... The Feet have it!

And here is the new thread:
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=669992

If memory serves me well, Crissa suggested Feet some months ago. And now here we all are, casting strange glances at other people's feet.:-P
