Dogwood or cherry blossom?

Is this a dogwood tree, or a cherry tree? I shot it on the campus of the University of Virginia yesterday (it was in the 80s, unseasonably warm.)

It must be a cherry or similar fruit. A dogwood tree has much larger flowers.

apple trees also have simular blossums but dogwoods grow like crazy here and arent blooming their flower till later :)
and yep its alot bigger and usually has only 4 petals :) nice shot!

Looks like a cherry.... Judging by the blooms and the bark...
