I need to photograph someone in front of a white background. They will be in a costume that obscures their face. I can bounce my 430EX to illuminate the subject, but I need an inexpensive slave to illuminate the white background. I’ll also use it with an umbrella as a fill light in the future. I believe that adding a 580EX would do the trick, but that’s not in the budget right now. Can you recommend an inexpensive - up to $120ish – optical slave setup that will handle the double flash of the 430EX in ETTL and have a manually adjustable output.
