I've heard people repeatedly say they "just use the center AF point" when shooting. Is there a way on the XT to automatically set it up so the center AF point is always selected? If not, do you have to manually select it every time you shoot? I've read the manual twice, and still can't figure out how to manually select an AF point. :o

Hi there,

The centre focus point selection will only work in the Creative Modes (P, Av, Tv, M and ADep).

It will not allow you to select the focus point in the other modes.

Thanks...I was aware of that. I typically only shoot in Av, Tv & M, but I still can't seem to figure this out. I'd really like to get this nailed down, as I'm heading out for Disney in less than a month, and I'm sick of missing focus on so many pictures. (I've got lots of practicing to do!)

Well, I re-read that part again and finally figured it out! Thanks for the help. I was pushing the wrong button.
