Got my new Sigma 18-125mm to replace the kit lens. So far I'm very pleased. I thought these would look good as B/W's with elements of color. Does it work for anybody?

Thanks! I'm still trying to hone my PS skills. There's hundred or so of these rotting into the ground, but most behind a locked gate. These two were sitting out along the road.

Nice shots - like the effect - think I will have to try that myself. Is it easy?

Great cept for the doge pickup that snuck its way into the first one. Otherwise they rock.

I'm sure there's a million ways to do this. I make my basic image adjustments, levels, color etc. Duplicate the background onto another layer. Change this layer to B/W via Channel Mixer. Adjust the Channel Mixer until I like what I see. Choose Layer-Add Layer Mask-Revel All. Select a paint brush and paint back in the B/W layer using black as your top color. I think you could also choose Hide All and paint with White to do the opposite.

The Dodge is mine. Not sure if I like it in there either. I might go back and do it again with my Alfa.
