Firstly, I am a rookie to hotography, but have lerned a great deal form everyone..Thanks

I have converted several photos to BW using the PS and the methods suggested here. The final step is to adjust the Hue to my personal preferance. Problem...many adjustments look good to me. Which is right? Are there tricks for getting the best BW? Should I concentrate on what the white look like? Blacks? Thoughts.

It seems the longer I look at a photo..the better it looks!!

This is a very common problem among people who do their own darkroom work. When printing for an exhibition I may make as many as 6-8 prints of the same image with variations in exposure, contrast, etc. Then I can look at them at my leisure, put them up on the wall, or get opinions from others about which is best. But sometimes you just have to go ahead, put your finger on one print and say "Okay, thats it."
