I'm currently looking at buying the 20D, any advice on a good package, or first lens?

Well I can tell you haven't been lurking here very long..... but welcome. If you can afford a good lens, then buy it!!! What do you want it for? A great all purpose lens is the Canon 24-70/2.8L. If you are on a serious budget, the Tamron 28-75/2.8XRDi or 24-70 are great choices as well as the Canon 17-85mm. I would buy the camera body only and fill in with lenses as you want/need them. Good luck. And keep an eye on your wallet.... you will find it mysteriously thinning right before your very eyes!!!!
