What is the difference, I just bought a DRebel last night and I want to get an extra battery. I'm at work right now looking them up online and the bp-511 is really enexpensive. $29.00 vs ~$60, why is that?

We have discussed that very topic here numerous times every month.

BP-511 has a little less capacity than the BP-511A. They are mechanically interchangeable, so you can use either in any camera that uses either one.

http://sterlingtek.com BP-511 (or 511A - same thing) batteries are what I use, they're cheap, high capacity, and so far they're reliable.
