the hot spot is a bit distracting, but other than that, it is what it is.
not to derail your thread, but how do you like your 1000D?

As I was scrolling down, I though "ohhh, I like this!", but then I got to the hot spot. Yikes - too harsh. Tone that down and you have a big winner - shadows, color and textures are all great.

Thank you, this was my first shot in total darkness using unnatural lighting which I just pulled out of you know what. But now I know to watch for that! Thanks again.

saiminyaku - the 1000d is actually my first SLR camera I have owned and I have to say I love it. I've only used simple point and shoots in the past so I have only good things to say about it.
