Hi mate,weddings are not my thing so i cant offer you any direct help....A tog friend of mine was in the same position as you a few years back.He approached all the local established wedding togs and offered his services as a second shooter for free to gain experience/folio shots.He now does his own work and after about 6 shoots the guy that took him on gave him the chance to work for him when double bookings were available,he has now done quite a few of these and earnt good money..May be something to consider.
