What do you think guys ? fake ? I Have never seen a fake with so many views of the camera.

Very curious : no word about a new camera from the PMA.

This probably belongs in the Rumour section, but I would say this is most likely fake, if for no other reason than Canon already has a current product called the 500D (a macro addon) so it would be unlikely they would call it that.

That's my take. It looks exactly like a 450D, and it would not be hard to clone out a 4 and insert a 0 to make a 450D into a 500D logo. 450D is selling well still, so I think with the current economy they will save the 500D for as long as they can. Maybe they will save it and announce it as soon as NIkon announces the new D60 (which far more overdue than a 450D upgrade).

This seems too early for me for Canon to introduce a 500D (or whatever). It was just a little over a year ago when the 450D was introduced. And the 1000D six months after that. I can't see any benefit in Canon shortening its traditional 18-month product cycle for the Rebel bodies. In this economy?

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't expect to see/hear anything official until the fall, if/when the economy shows signs of recovery.

Until you put it up for adoption and get the next iteration that Canon imposes. You should have made your name CanonXXX_Addict.:p

I wouldn't mind buying this as a 2nd body, but they need to fix the video AF and more control in video mode (aperture, iso, ect)
