Static automotive shots are a new thing for me, usually the cars I shoot are moving sideways at high speeds, so any C&C will be appreciated.

Day shots are natural lighting; night shots were long exposures light painted with a 580EX II in a home-made soft box.

5. kind of bummed that the front wheel came out oval due to the wide angle distortion

I'll post up the engine shots later after I get them off the memory card, the owner painted the bay gold and swapped in a Honda K20/K24 hybrid motor.

These are interesting, & the owner will probably love them. But somewhere between day shots & night shots is the magic "late light" that makes cars look their best. See my Sig.

yeah I'd love to shoot then but I'm typically working. As the days get longer over the summer I'll be able to give it a try.

Sigma 10-20 for most.. the 2nd was the 70-200

#3 looks like it has fake blur...

I blurred the outside of the hangar so it wouldn't draw attention from the subject

Nice shots! I love the 3rd one, the blurred out background kind of makes it feel like it's a die cast car instead of a real one. :D

Very cool pictures there mate! I actually like the blur you have done in no3, makes the car look like a toy as drkstang00 has said :D

The engine shots are gorgeous also, brought out loads of detail! For someone that normally does drifting photos, looks like you've got a nack for static shoots too :D
