WARNING: THESE IMAGES ARE NOT 56K SAFE- UNLESS YOU CLICK ON LARGE SO THEY WILL BE RESIZED.

These are a few images I took today, they have not been resized, and as are straight from the camera. When I opened them in CS, I only pulled the sharpness, and pulled the Color Noise REduction.

Please let me know what you think... There is some user error in there also..

Images are from f2.8-f4...

I just took a look at your pbase gallery. Brings back fond memories of when I used to live in the city from 89-95 and in Fort Lee from 95-04. I can't wait to visit NYC in the near future.

Nice collection of images - I't nice to see casual everyday shots of workers, most of the people I work with dive for cover when I pull out my camera. I've no experience with Tamron lenses - seems they are worthy of consideration..

I am definetly happy with this lens, I also am happy with the bokeh.. seems pretty smooth. I have to try it with some lights in the background to see how well they get blured out.

As for feel. The lens feel 100% solid. Ofcourse, I have to get used to the opposite zoom ring, but that is a small issue, that I have to get used to. I really like image quality also.
Whoever said that the zoom motor is loud ... lol... please , whatever... although the canon usm is quieter. The tamron is not that loud, and focuses pretty darn quick ..

Overall I am pleased with the lens. Hopefully this post can help future posters in their search for information.

I have to say that I love it. The lens feels solid, and the autofocus is fast, and also quite. I haven't noticed the hunting issue, but will look into it when I do some low light photography..
I am just glad that my copy was a decent copy(at least in my eyes)

I too like my lense, but only above 2.8. This is a second copy that I have gotten and both of them at 2.8 where soft. above 2.8 I love it. I got this so that I can take portraits inside my house. Have small space, with 2 800B and only a 50 1.8 lens. So I got this lens to use more for portraits than anything else
