I would like to compliment on the Design and Construction of EE. I searched for a couple days for an application that was functional, clean design and easy to use for customers or guest at my site, you have done a wonderful job. I don't know anything about backend engineering or programming, I'm a front-end designer and developer. I was able to get EE up and running with very little troubles, however I do have a few questions.

1. After uploading the images to their respective directories, creating an exhibition and adding the photos to the exhibition, do you need to keep the images in those directories or do you delete them?

2. I have not started uploading any serious photos as of yet, I've just been testing everything out and I wondered, should I go a head and upgrade from EE 1.22 to 1.3 before I start setting up the serious exhibitions?

3. How difficult would it be to add EXIF data from digital cameras and would it read the same for all cameras, as I see this is a cannon form, but I'm a Nikon shooter (sorry guys). I think that this feature could really speed up the workflow if the EXIF data could be interpreted or at least have the choice to use the EXIF data or to manually put the camera data in, as you have it now.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

Yes. The photos are fetched from server when a visitor opens a page.

2. I have not started uploading any serious photos as of yet, I've just been testing everything out and I wondered, should I go a head and upgrade from EE 1.22 to 1.3 before I start setting up the serious exhibitions?

1.3RC has fewer bugs and is faster and editors are better. I recommend trying that.

EXIF is standardized so in theory exif reading will not care which manufacturer the file was from. I recently received some nice code which reads exif without any extra modules, I'm looking into that now.

Pekka,
did you read the topic posted by TD27 in the software forum!
PS7 EXIF DATA MESS
It seems that there is a difference between Nikkon and Canon in the EXIF data leading to a PS7 problem when you edit the image!
Do you have an idea on this subject?
