Here is a pretty Swan with some detail. Amazingly, I finally got some detail on something. Always thought it was the lens, but apparently it was me. Anyway, here he/she is right before he/she started to climb out of the water and PECK MY FACE OFF...

Quite sharp. A bit OE on the body feathers...you might bring out more detail with PS (IMO)

Beautiful shot!
I agree that you could pull a bit more detail out of the body feathers in PS. I think the detail is there. Great shot though.

Nice face shot. He does look a little disgruntled.
White birds are always difficult to get the exposure just right so you can get the details.

What lens was that?

Nice shot, every time I try to get a shot of my "local" swan it swims out past my focal ability to get a sharp photo like yours.

Sorry about the details. It was shot with the old piece of junk Canon D60, but it is MY piece of junk, and I'm not upgrading...yet.

The lens was the Sigma 70-300 APO Macro. The good one (not the DL version or whatever). I actually like this lens, and it is better than the 70-300 Canon IS one I had before this.

I'll have to revisit this to see about bringing out detail in the body. I know it is bright white like this, but I liked it, especially when printed 8x10. It looks sweet then.
